The Opaque bracelet is made from lustrous Akoya baroque pearls, Freshwater pearls and a few spiky Akoya pearls to add texture. The pearls are arranged irregularly which is typical of Mariko's work. The pearls have been sourced from a local pearl farm near Nagasaki, close to Mariko's hometown. The clasp is made from oxidised silver and as time goes by it will age well.
With a delicate fusion of handcrafted designs and responsibly-sourced pearls, Mariko’s creations embody the essence of tranquil beaches from her youth, and the raw beauty of Brighton’s untamed shores, where she now resides.
