Keira Wraae-Stewart
Founder & Director
Keira founded ætla in Edinburgh in 2020. Today, she has over 15 years’ experience in the jewellery industry, having previously worked in jewellery design and product development for Maria Francesca Pepe and Vivienne Westwood in both London and Thailand. Alongside curating ætla's collection of contemporary, antique and vintage jewellery, she works closely with the independent jewellers represented by the gallery, developing exhibitions, artist residencies and events that celebrate exceptional craftsmanship and connect more people with independent makers.
Gemma Capocci
Store & Operations Manager
Gemma plays a central role in the day-to-day running of ætla, working closely with clients, jewellers and suppliers to ensure every experience is thoughtful, personal and carefully considered. Having studied Fine Art Painting, she brings a keen eye for detail and a genuine appreciation for craftsmanship. She works closely with clients to understand what they are looking for, whether choosing an engagement ring, commissioning a bespoke piece or celebrating a significant occasion.
Doune Meynell
Client Relations
After studying Art History, Doune joined ætla with a longstanding appreciation for antique and vintage jewellery and the stories each piece carries. She works closely with clients both in the boutique and online, supporting appointments, bespoke commissions and aftercare. With a thoughtful and considered approach, she helps ensure every client receives the personal service at the heart of ætla.

Alongside our core team, we're fortunate to work with a trusted part-time gallery team and a small network of freelance collaborators. Together, they help ensure the same thoughtful, knowledgeable and personal experience, whether visiting the gallery or connecting with us online.
