Eliz Fan

Eliz Fan is a Taiwanese artist and fine jeweller, born and raised in Hong Kong and now based in London. A recent graduate of the Royal College of Art, her work explores memory, personal identity and cultural heritage through contemporary fine jewellery.

Drawing on her East Asian heritage, Eliz’s practice is informed by the philosophies of wabi-sabi — an appreciation of imperfection and transience — and ichigo ichie, the idea that each moment is singular and unrepeatable. These influences are reflected in her attention to worn surfaces, natural structures and the marks left by the hand.

Working in silver, 14ct and 18ct gold and precious gemstones, Eliz brings together Eastern and Western influences, reinterpreting traditional Chinese and Japanese ornamental languages through her own perspective and lived experience. Her pieces explore themes of memory, calmness, solitude, vulnerability and reflection, creating jewellery that carries both personal and cultural significance.
