Stefanie Cheong

Stefanie Cheong is a Glasgow-based jeweller whose practice centres on geology, sustainability, and experimental making. Trained in both traditional metalwork and lapidary, she transforms found and discarded materials into contemporary jewellery and objects.

Working from her fully equipped studio, Stefanie cuts and shapes Scottish stone alongside fabricated rocks made from e-waste, glass, ceramics and other waste streams. These are paired with recycled and fair trade metals, merging a commitment to responsible making with a bold, tactile aesthetic.

Stefanie’s hands-on approach extends to her work as an educator and community facilitator, delivering workshops and teaching at art institutions across Scotland. Through her practice, she redefines preciousness, creating jewellery that’s as thoughtful as it is distinctive.
