ætla Summer Residency 2026

Welcome to the ætla Residency Program, an initiative designed to support and celebrate diverse talent within the jewellery world. Each quarter, we invite three jewellers to join us in-store and online for three months. These residents range from well-established names to emerging talents and recent graduates. This program offers a platform for creativity, providing a space for jewellers to showcase their work, engage with new audiences, and grow their artistic practice. It is a celebration of craftsmanship, innovation, and community.

Jake Matluck
New York-based jeweller Jake Matluck creates jewellery inspired by ancient goldsmithing traditions and historic hand-fabrication techniques. Trained at Jewelry Arts Inc., his work draws on Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Celtic, Cypriot, and Indonesian jewellery dating from 900–200 BCE, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

Each piece is hand-fabricated in his New York City studio using his signature 22ct yellow gold alloy, natural gemstones, and antique diamonds, with a focus on materiality, provenance, and process.

Megan Brown

London-based jewellery designer Megan Brown creates work shaped by a background in textile manufacturing and traditional metalwork. Growing up in North Yorkshire surrounded by the machinery of her family’s century-old textile mill, she developed a lasting fascination with weaving, texture, and movement, elements that continue to inform her jewellery today.

Since establishing her studio in 2016, Megan has studied at Bishopsland Educational Trust and completed a residency at Sarabande. Working from her Soho workshop, she creates finely crafted jewellery and sculptural pieces that unite her manufacturing roots with contemporary design.
