Why Choose Bespoke?

  • Personalised Design: Your jewellery will be a true reflection of your individuality, crafted to your exact specifications.
  • Exclusive Materials: We source only the finest materials, including ethically sourced gemstones and precious metals, ensuring your piece is as unique as you are.
  • Artisanal Craftsmanship: Our skilled artisans and partnered designers bring years of experience and passion to every piece, ensuring that your jewellery is not only beautiful but also built to last.

The Bespoke Process: Turning Dreams into Reality

  1. Consultation: Your bespoke journey begins with an in-depth consultation. This can take place in person at our Edinburgh boutique or virtually, depending on your preference. During this meeting, we’ll discuss your ideas, inspirations, and the story behind the piece you want to create. Based on your brief, we will either match you with a jeweller who best suits your aesthetic and vision, or we can organise a bespoke creation in-house with our goldsmith. We’ll also discuss your budget and timeline to ensure we can deliver exactly what you need.
  2. Collaborative Design: Once we’ve established the direction, we’ll collaborate closely with the chosen jeweller or our in-house goldsmith to develop your piece. Each designer we work with has their own unique process, whether that involves sketches, 3D modelling, or hands-on experimentation. We ensure that you remain involved and informed throughout, allowing for adjustments and input as your vision comes to life.
  3. Material Selection: With the design direction set, we’ll assist you in selecting the perfect materials. We offer a wide range of ethically sourced gemstones and precious metals, ensuring that your piece reflects both your style and values. Learn more about our commitment to ethical sourcing.
  4. Craftsmanship: Once everything is confirmed, the creation of your piece begins. Whether crafted by our in-house goldsmith or one of our talented partner jewellers, your jewellery will be meticulously handcrafted to the highest standards. 5. Final Reveal: Upon completion, we’ll arrange a special reveal, either in-store or through a secure virtual presentation. This is the moment when you see your vision brought to life – a unique piece of jewellery that’s been crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail.
  6. Aftercare: Our relationship doesn’t end with the delivery of your piece. We offer a comprehensive range of aftercare services, including cleaning, resizing, and replating, to ensure your jewellery remains as stunning as the day you first wore it. We're always here to assist with any future needs. Read what our clients have to say about their bespoke experience.

Starting The Journey

If you are based in Edinburgh, we would always recommend first visiting our store to view the existing collections firsthand. If this isn't possible, browsing through our jewellery online will help start your process to finding the perfect design.

Whether you are looking to commission bespoke wedding or engagement rings, celebrate an anniversary, or redesign inherited jewellery, we are on hand to help you explore every option, to make sure you feel confident in your choices.

Choosing Your Designer

We sell work from a range of independent jewellers; from decadent statement pieces to minimalist jewels, we have a broad range of styles and price points.

When browsing, if you see work from a designer that speaks to the style you have been searching for, we can facilitate creating a unique design from them. Perhaps you love the style of a designer but would prefer different gemstones, or a different metal colour? Or you love elements from their designs you would like to see incorporated into a personalised design? There is a breadth of possibilities with bespoke, and we are here to guide you every step of the way.

Finalising Your Brief

There is a breadth of possibilities with bespoke, and we are here to help your visualise your ideas. To help you get started, we recommend thinking through the following points, to establish your design brief:

  • Aesthetic: Are you drawn to organic or geometric designs? Are you looking for something to wear every day, or for special occasions?
  • Metals: Do you wear gold, platinum, palladium? If gold, do you prefer yellow, rose, or white gold?
  • Gemstones: Is there a particular gemstone that holds meaning for you? Do you need a stone that can withstand everyday wear? Are there colours you particularly love?
  • Price Frame: Do you have a specific budget to cater to?
  • Timescale: Do you have a special date you need the jewellery completed for, such as an anniversary or wedding?

All of these questions will help you consider the parameters of your design, to help decide on your brief and formalise your brief. Once we have a brief to work from, we can speak to the designer to receive a quote for your design.

Starting The Process

Once you have decided on your design brief and we have received a quote from the designer, to start the bespoke process we request a 50% deposit before proceeding with your design. Please note once you have paid your 50% deposit you are committed to the process and at this point your order cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Time Scale

From the date of deposit, the process will take between 4 - 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design. If you have a particular deadline in mind, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this. We love the bespoke process; making something unique to you can take time, but it is always worth the wait.

At busier times, in particular the lead up to Christmas, our designers can be very busy, so we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible, to make sure we can adhere to your deadline. We look forward to hearing from you!
