As with many of Genevieve’s pieces, this pair began with two vivid garnets she discovered and envisioned as perfect windows for unique symbols.
The crab and lobster were chosen not only for their deep orange-red tones, beautifully complemented by the crisp brilliance of white baguette diamonds, but also for their dynamic symbolism. The crab, able to live both on land and in water, represents resilience, while the lobster - believed to mate for life - symbolises devotion and enduring love.
Though closely related in form, these crustaceans embody distinct qualities. The earrings’ intentional mismatch, framed in warm gold, celebrates difference in balance, bringing together strength and tenderness in one harmonious design.
