The Quilt Earrings I feature a neat textile textured 14ct gold hoop with a detachable string of colourful mismatched bronze panels, ceramic coated in pale blues and greens. Two panels are set with 1.5mm green sapphires for a subtle shimmer. Inspired by patchwork quilts, these earrings are the first in a new series of one-of-a-kind pieces.
Each design begins life as cotton thread, stitched by Ebba in her studio in Scotland. The thread is moulded and cast in wax before being transformed into solid metal through the ancient lost wax casting technique, translating textile threads into future heirlooms.
