This completely unique agate brooch is based on a collection of observations of colours and textures from around the coastline of Sarah's home on the Island of Islay, on Scotlands west coast.
Sarah has selected an agate that mirrors the variations of subtle colours and coral like forms in the seaweed that lines the rocks and rock pools along the coast. The textural silver element depicts the seafoam on the waves and a golden seaweed ribbon set with a diamond hangs from the seafoam giving the brooch some movement.
Sarah Brown's pieces are all handmade in her Islay studio.
