Suspended from a delicate 18ct gold trace chain, the pendant showcases the stone’s delicate layers of colour and intricate natural banding. Inspired by Neolithic and Bronze Age stone carving, Sian Evans’ jewellery explores the enduring qualities of stone and precious metals. Sian often personally sources and hand-carves the stones using traditional lapidary techniques, as well as alloying her own precious metals. Involved in every stage of the making process, her work celebrates ancient craftsmanship, carefully selected materials and techniques that have endured for thousands of years.
