The design is stitched in fine cotton needle lace to create a scalloped edge, before being cast into solid 14ct gold, Capturing the lightness of lacework in a timeless, durable form.
These handmade hoops have a secure hinge and click fastening, making them easy to wear all the time.
Each design begins life as cotton thread, stitched by Ebba in her studio in Scotland. The thread is moulded and cast in wax before being transformed into solid metal through the ancient lost wax casting technique, translating textile threads into future heirlooms.
All jewellery is presented in ætla’s signature branded packaging.
