Hand-carved from Tay Estuary agate, this pendant features intricate bands of grey and white, with striking natural patterns running through the stone. An 18ct gold setting traces the edge of the agate, which hangs from a fine 18ct gold trace chain. Inspired by Neolithic and Bronze Age stone carving, Sian Evans’ jewellery explores the enduring qualities of stone and precious metals. Sian often personally sources and hand-carves the stones using traditional lapidary techniques, as well as alloying her own precious metals. Involved in every stage of the making process, her work celebrates ancient craftsmanship, carefully selected materials and techniques that have endured for thousands of years.
